When Does Religion Excuse You From Doing Your Job?

If you’ve been following the matter of the county clerk in Kentucky who was jailed for not issuing marriage licenses to gay couples, Eugene Volokh has an informative blog post at the Washington Post explaining when your religion legally excuses you from doing part of your job. (Good reading, but the WaPo’s paywall features are obnoxious.)
